10.07.2025 21:03 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Infographic titled “One Court, Two Standards” compares how the Supreme Court used emergency powers to rule on lower-court injunctions against the Biden and Trump administrations. Two panels show: • Biden Administration: Lower courts blocked policies in 21 cases. All 21 cases are represented by red squares, indicating that 0% of injunctions/TROs were lifted by SCOTUS. • Trump Administration: Lower courts blocked policies in 86 cases. 66 green squares and 20 red squares show that 77% of injunctions/TROs were lifted by SCOTUS. Key takeaway box below reads: “Using its ‘shadow docket,’ the Supreme Court granted emergency relief to lift 77% of lower-court injunctions against the Trump administration. It lifted 0% of those against the Biden administration.” Sources and notes below include: CourtListener data through July 7, 2025; analysis by Adam Bonica.
The Supreme Court’s “shadow docket” has cast very different shadows depending on which party holds the White House.
When lower courts blocked Trump admin policies, SCOTUS intervened on an emergency basis to lift those orders in 77% of cases.
For the Biden administration, that number was 0%.
Hmm I think it’s also time to split off and create a party for progressives @sanders.senate.gov @aoc.bsky.social

this pulled me back in.
a rare marvel film that respected the story,
the audience,
and the craft.
thunderbolts didn’t just entertain.
it reminded me why i loved movies.
go watch it NOW.
#Thunderbolts #MCU #FlorencePugh #LewisPullman #AbsoluteCinema #avengers
#florencepugh = expected excellence.
but #lewispullman?
that man showed up.
quiet power. raw emotion. subtle but devastating.
he’s mosdef one to watch
future oscar material right there.
no forced joke every 8 seconds.
it let heavy moments breathe.
let grief + mental health be real, not punchlines.
for once, marvel didn’t try to make trauma cute..
well, at least until it really mattered.
from a psych major:
there were a couple of scenes that i felt in my soul.
then the review embargo lifted
and the word was unanimous:
“marvel finally took itself seriously”
so i gave it a shot.
5/5. Loved it.
hands down my favorite post-endgame film.
not just MCU-good.
it's good good.
wasn’t planning to watch #thunderbolts*.
wasn’t hyped. wasn’t sold.
like all the other post-endgame mcu movies.
but this trailer? “absolute cinema”
they shouted out the writers, cinematographers, editors..
not just the actors/directors.
my film nerd heart said: wait… hold up.

this is how you do it.

You’re the architect of your own constellation.

I'm not big on Dr Doom lore...
but he's THAT POWERFUL!?
Is this an actual adapted cb storyline??
bc I'm gonna need to check it out.
Better that, than using his kid.

but i’m the audience the media’s trying to reach.
and guess what?
the thailand angle worked.
it made people care enough to learn more.
that’s the job.
depends on your sources.
every report I’ve read mentioned myanmar as the epicenter.
but what pulled ALL OF US in initially?
the thailand headlines + footage.
that’s what made me look deeper.
is it ideal? maybe not.
but it worked.
Instead of stealing Greenland from Denmark, let’s steal some of their policies.
In Denmark:
- Health care and college are free.
- The starting wage is $22/hr.
- Paid parental leave is 1 year.
- Paid vacation is 6 weeks.
- All workers get pensions.
