The full gamut of humanity can be in found stories. If you think someone is less than you, you haven’t heard their story. Posting any instances of people standing up for others.
Who is the "we" in this?
10.11.2025 21:18 — 👍 18 🔁 1 💬 0 📌 0At least Dems got a ceremonial vote on the ACA subsidies in the senate so Susan Collins can vote against her party on that knowing it won’t pass but she’ll be able to run on another vote that allows her to pretend to be a moderate. The deal is an in-kind contribution to Collins.
11.11.2025 01:52 — 👍 2493 🔁 464 💬 92 📌 15Why is the "we must be united!" hectoring directed at people who are mad at the Cavers and not to the Cavers? Everyone who's mad was united, then the Cave Caucus walked across the aisle and betrayed what the public had been told was the Dem position.
10.11.2025 22:11 — 👍 3757 🔁 785 💬 72 📌 21It’s not that we didn’t want the shutdown to end, it’s the fact that millions of people suffered throughout this shutdown and it was for nothing. That’s the most upsetting part.

It is time to let someone else take the wheel & lead!
While we're at it, why do we pay for a fire department when most houses don't even burn down.

If you didn't learn this life lesson in third grade, GTFO of the US Senate.
If you believe it was just 8 senators I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you. This was a Schumer operation.

Who is “we”? We, the voters, the donors, the marchers, the volunteers are giving it our all.
And … Dem Sen leadership just flushed it all away … for nothing.
When prominent Democrats like yourself show Schumer to the exit, then you can use the 1st person plural & not until then
Many Americans are hurting right now because of the shutdown, but caving to Republicans won’t end the hurt.
Trump and his lapdogs continue to assert that they alone have the power to slash whatever programs they don’t like.
Deals with this regime are meaningless.
I don't know what the Senate is going to do. But if they do in fact fold in exchange for nothing, they will be living up to past performance. To expect the Senate to carry out the will of the American people is to misunderstand why it was created in the first place.

10.11.2025 14:52 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0We were seeing cracks in the Republicans unity, especially after Tuesday. But if the Opposition Party does not fight against the horrors being inflicted on us by literal jackbooted thugs, then what incentive is there for Republicans to stand up to Trump, Miller, et al and their lawlessness?
10.11.2025 14:40 — 👍 1 🔁 1 💬 0 📌 0How do we keep this momentum going in 2026? Find the courage to stand up to the enforced party wisdom that keeps too many Democrats from telling the whole truth.

Democrats can fight AND win — just like we did in our budget battle in Michigan.
A promise isn’t a deal. Don’t settle.
If Chris Murphy or other Dem Senator doesn’t immediately challenge Schumer, then they’re all in on it.
10.11.2025 03:13 — 👍 291 🔁 20 💬 10 📌 180% of Democratic voters want a new leader in the Senate.
Does that matter at all to Democratic senators?
The caucus meeting was just to orchestrate who would fall on the sword but not be up for a vote in 2026.
10.11.2025 02:05 — 👍 3506 🔁 1018 💬 108 📌 101It's not enough to just vote No. If you and the rest of the caucus can't convince a handful of your colleagues to hold the damn line, then none of you are the leaders we need in this moment. I'll be just as happy to protest outside your office. Now do your job!
10.11.2025 01:43 — 👍 16 🔁 2 💬 0 📌 0You weren’t 1 of the 8 Senators promised to the Republicans. So what? You’re still playing your part in the charade. If you & the others who voted no had truly wanted to block this catastrophe, you would have.
Signed, a disgusted constituent
This is not what they actually say. This is what they used to say, in the long ago before times when Shaheen learned to do politics. There is no kumbaya median voter anymore. The question you get knocking doors is not "why can't you all just work together?" it's "why didn't / will you fight harder?
