Two white eyes rimmed in glowing red stare out at the viewer. The eyes belong to a dark and moody drawing of a serious wolf head shrouded in darkness. The wolf stares out the a burning intensity and streaks of electric blue rim its eye brows and area between the eyes along with one ear peaking through the darkness. The artwork is quite detailed and has a rich texture from the vine charcoal digital brush used. I started with a black layer and erased into with the charcoal brush to “reveal” the image to myself. This has been my strategy to make detailed images like this instead of trying to layer shapes and lines on a blank canvas.

This art piece is from around day 1500 in the Teyleen everyday art project. The digital art looks like a massive star exploding in outer space. Streaking lines of red, blue, and yellow form radiating waves of color extending to the edges of almost the entire frame. The stars and blackness of space can only be seen in two long, calm triangle shapes extending from the center to the upper left and bottom right.

I’m excited to find other artists to connect with here! Instagram was my place but I got nuked by the algo… went from getting 2000+ likes per post to around 50. I was gaining 1k a month but now i’m losing 1% of my followers for the past 2yrs haha. Maybe visual art is still cool on Bluesky 😅??

I realized the finished piece I was so focused on is just the little line on the track I run across so I can say I finished the race. The actual running part is what I love.

By day 2000 , whether a design is ‘good’ or ‘bad’ just wasn’t
as interesting to me anymore. I gave up my og style and started making art I had no idea I was capable of.

At day 1000 I made the decision to keep going for ten years. I realized I had only barely begun to explore my creativity. I left my photos behind and embraced the blank page.

For 1000 days I created abstract shapes and patterns over photographs I had taken. Each design was like a little piece of my soul placed like a bookmark for me to come back to.

Day 0001 - I remember the fear, the doubt, but more than anything I wanted to know what I could do and how much I loved art.
