If he wanted to make a film celebrating the potential of science and the institutions that allow it to flourish then sure… not enough clones. But this is not that movie!There is hardly a reason to celebrate the state of science right now when it is being undermined at every turn.

im starting to feel like Mickey 17 is a litmus test for those who feel the urgency of the US's rapid antidemocratic plunge. you either feel it, and the movie is a rallying cry, or you don't and you are probably saying like "i just wished he focused more on the clones" or "parasite was better"
