Could We End Corporate Money In Politics? Backers of a referendum before Montana voters next year believe they’ve found a vulnerability on Citizen United

We’ve lived 15 years under Citizens United, watching billionaires and corporations shape democracy with their wallets. Reform once seemed impossible. But now, a group in Montana is asking a radical question: What if states simply stopped granting corporations the power to spend in politics?

A tweet by George Conway says, “There is absolutely zero chance that a man who took $50,000 in cash in a paper bag from an FBI agent on camera would have been appointed to any position by any other president.” It quotes Armand Domalewski, who wrote, “There is absolutely zero chance JD would describe a Biden administration official accepting a $50,000 cash bribe in a paper bag as ‘fake scandal.’”

Elections aren’t every 4 years or every 2 years, they’re every year. In California we have a special election for prop 50 and it’s a YES. If Texas can gerrymander then we should be able to. I know my comments will be filled with bots, but I won’t be intimidated. Our democracy is vanishing❤️
