I think govt officials prey on essential workers through guilt trips & retaliation scares, & some essential workers truly care about the ppl they serve so they won’t quit. My friend was told they would strip her pension & 401K if she didn’t show up to work during the shutdown.

That moment when separation of church and state is super important to evangelicals so long as it isn’t applied to evangelicals and other ultra conservative Christians. Someone never learned “what’s good for the goose is good for the gander” and it shows.

It’s the full pay and benefits that really adds salt to the wound. Forcing Americans to continue working without pay or benefits while you refuse to work, but still get paid, is absolutely abhorrent. I hope voters see he works for himself and dgaf about them.
