Finally made the Arena Championship with some terrifying games of Spellementals

This week's episode is a little more broad than usual - I'm breaking down exactly which nonrare cards in the format really matter, as well as what that means for certain specific archetypes and draft navigation. Plus some measured optimism for Goblins.

3-0 in the normal rounds through Reanimator, Metalworker, and White Weenie but lost to my buddy in a fun round against Echo Stompy

I just won this game to be 4-0 at a 6-round RCQ

My opponent is at 8 life, they have one creature in play, and their top card is a Shimmercreep I tucked which kills me. I won the game this turn, Rimespeaker was my draw.

It's my favorite deck by a lot.
The cards needed win are really contested but if you grab them early and focus fixing you get 5 colors of bombs and removal.
The pivots out of it are harder so its harder to draft.
I'm currently streaming an elemental combo burn deck that was a pivot out of of vivid

I've only done about 20 drafts but anecdotally I'm almost exactly the reverse of this in Lorwyn Eclipsed Draft

Anyone in Ohio want ~40,000 playable bulk cards? I'm visiting the fam and trying to sell the cards in my parents basement.

About 12 years ago I had ~1,000,000 cards, I took the best 20k, stored the playable 40k, and dumped the rest. It's lots of playable stuff, just mostly commons and uncommons.

Ooooo I didn't realize, I'm a little disappointed
