Ok it appears my general hangup appears to have been that "parasites" need to directly extract resorces from host. Competition between species is something else !

I am thinking more light competition issues but admittedly im just being scrupulous

Some people say flowers invented beauty, wherein beauty = multi sensory advertising, with a purpose. I believe all prior attractant strategies were one-dimensional (color, chemical scent, ect)

I've been accused of harmful "reddit atheism" before but im on board with:
- religious thinking, "post truth", and anti rational thinking, hand in hand, all directly led to DT and other, worse world problems

- they will put the responsibility of finding them on the parent
- the NCIC database will not initiate any searches or rescue operations (its just a Runaway designation- a special category of missing person)

If you come to phoenix police tomorrow with a missing child that they determine is a runaway, here's what will happen:
- they will be entered into the NCIC database (the same one fugitives are entered into)
- they will see a runaway child as fundamentally different from a missing child

All local police depts still routinely and irresponsibly label children as RUNAWAYS. This is bad for so many reasons and is good for exactly none. Sickening

Scorpions and black widows too. I routinely run into these and do not think twice about it- they will always run rather than attack. Stings almost always come from grabbing under something without looking first!
