One of the most interesting glimpses into the author's writing process are these lists of similes which he kept, crossing them off as he used them and making a note of the book title in the margin.

It is SO bad. Apparently the officers had written a whole report describing how "violent" he was, how he was going for a big knife, and how many times they asked him to roll down the window. None of which happened. Good on him for filming. I hope he gets $$$$$$.
