Solid phase separation has always existed. Definition is not solid or liquid, it's ability to exchange material between surrounding and itself. Analogies like dripping oil etc are the problem though TBF it's impossible to come up with a single analogy to explain all of phase separation.

Yeah lacks details. It says US is two years behind but in mindset I think we are decades behind. Unfortunately this is due to the academic cottage industry on CRISPR "advances", countering mythical "off target effects", and advocating unfounded claims of how a whiff of Cas9 is gonna kill us all.
