Competition seriously -- I 1,000% agree with this. Often, the date (e.g., 1st, 7th, 20st, etc.) is far less important than the day (e.g., Mon., Tue., etc.) for planning stuff. And unless you're planning things weeks/months in advance, knowing the day gives exponentially more context.
