Probably my favorite painting from this trip, Van Gogh’s “Thatched Cottages in the Sunshine.” It’s one of 7 works by Van Gogh in the Barnes Foundation.

Enjoying a relaxing weekend before the onslaught of 2026 begins. Quiet time with books picked up on the vacation — and something I’m calling a “spiced caramel apple-tini.” It’s 2oz of salted caramel vodka, 3oz of apple cider (not juice), 1/4oz fresh lemon juice, heavy dash of ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. You’re welcome. lol.

The holiday break was a much needed respite. NJ/NYC/Philly trip was an amazing time with friends and some stunning museum time. Of particular note, the Barnes Foundation in Philly was unbelievable. If you’re into art, check out that space. Settling in to savor the last 2 days before 2026 work hits.

Pretty cool for their first drone show. Hope they amp it up a bit in future efforts. Would love to see more.

I got crazy lucky. It wasn't really clear where the city would launch the show from. Found out late yesterday that one (there were multiple) would launch over Piedmont Park.

That sounds like a nightmare. I have a dot somewhere, but haven't used it. The tall one in the center of the tiny 700 square foot condo seems to have worked fine. But I do like the visuals on the Echo Show, probably will get a larger one (if they work our the kinks). Not sure.

They talked me into buying a tiny Echo Show so I could experience Alexa+. My other echo thingie is too old. But she gets the job done. Whereas this young whippersnapper is slow to respond, and when it does, it sounds like Pete Davidson with a meh-like, "okay." lol. #betafail

I typically follow the "believe them when they show you who they are" sentiment. But I also believe in giving a little grace. Time will tell. But for the moment, I believe he his being sincere.

I am aware of the context and history of this phrase. Still a Falcons fan, still a Bijan fan. Just wish people would be more careful with their words. That's a big stage and a big mic... speak wisely.

It’s frustrating to be an Atlanta Falcon fan. 8 straight losing seasons. So when a generational player comes along and shows so much promise, it gives you so hope for your team.
