Can any gamers recommend a module that deals with temporal magic? Not looking for time travel back to the prehistoric age, but where the central mystery revolves around time magic. Something like a time loop?

Truth elementals: little invisible guys attracted to honesty. When you feel a brush against your body with no discernible source, it might be a truth elemental running into you after something honest was said or done near you.

I backed the Kickstarter for #SurvivingStrangehollow after listening to @artbyemilyhare.bsky.social and @dailydael.bsky.social talk about the dangerous, magical nature of #Stangehollow. My TTRPG attention is easily distracted, but I now want to run something like #ScavengersReign in this world.

This may have been one of the more critical reviews I've heard you guys give, but it made me feel like buying it, because it sounded inspirational and modular. I also bought Impossible Landscapes, because it got mentioned during the show. Both are getting chucked into Curse of Strahd.

It didn't, which I found surprising. Each turn, they could move and do a thing. Which sounds like combat, but both the system and me were loose enough with it, that it gave a good spread of spotlight to players. Shadowdark also has the 1 hour torch timer, which could offset any slowdown.

3.5e was my gateway. It definitely shaped the way that I perceive the rules -- I have trouble ignoring them.

I ran #Shadowdark for the first time. Some things I noticed:
1. It's easier to introduce new players to #TTRPGs than with 5e #dnd
2. Always being in initiative makes for a smooth transition to combat
3. Not as lethal as I thought, because not every encounter with a monster was a fight

That sounds very very fun. You could take inspiration from Lost, where the elves are "the others"

It's ironic because the design ethos, which as you mentioned, is antithetical to the osr's ethos. But then the, osr started because people remembered the way they used to play and wanted to bring that play style back, iirc

A problem that I see sometimes in tabletop RPGs is campaign bloat. Adding so much to your game that a year long campaign turns into a three year campaign. Does anyone else's campaign suffer from this? #ttrpg #dnd #osr
