Just make sure it’s obvious. One of my Wastoid players remarked this week she’s amazed we played a year without calling attention to the ability scores spelling out the name of the game. My fault for taking so long to get it into the character spreadsheet *just right.*

Podcasts and "deep dive" media will try to convince you that you *now* know things, thanks to them.

A PhD, especially one with archival, observational, or observational components, will definitely convince you that you know next to nothing, thanks to the available resources & one's predecessors.

Presumably, opting out means they stop pulling in your data AFTER you opt out. Any data they grab before then is data users (generally unwittingly) opted into letting them keep.

Last year, as part of my job hunt, I followed some advice: interview former colleagues about my professional strengths and weaknesses, informing my search strategy.

I haven’t actually gotten low-quality replies, but I’ve used the reply controls preemptively because of the scars left from The Twitter Wars. “In ages past, this would’ve been misinterpreted in a way to goad me into a debate I don’t feel like having.”

Took the kiddo on her first ever roller coaster this weekend.

Immediately after: “I did NOT like that.”

10 minutes later: “I’d do that again.”
