Yesterday's #Flyers vs #Senators game. Had to expand the bounds to even show Michkov on it, who decided that he's had enough of Ottawa and wanted to generated *all* the offense. Continue to be surprised and elated that Drysdale posts such good defensive results as frequent as he has this season.

the Philadelphia flyers are currently 16th in the league by points % (good for about middle of the pack), but 7th in their division out of 8.

I sure do love when the Metro does Metro things, which seems to only happen when the Flyers get a modicum of momentum

I legitimately think it becomes that after the reveal. A lot of the choices seem to funny for it to not be intentional. But it's a crazy tone shift so maybe its not!

A lot of it came on the PP, IIRC. at EV, this was the first night the Cates line didn’t seem to drive play as well.

5-2 #Flyers win. Great performance from Tippett, who is at his best when he does his Ovechkin imitation (big hits, flying around the ice, great shot). Michkov noticeably better with the puck. Foerster just looks like a guy who is taking a step forward.

5-2, Flyers lose. Weird game. Ersson with a 71% SV% and a -2.73 GSAx. That's uh, real bad, but I don't think it was all his fault. Foerster was excellent by my eyes in the first two-ish period. Really hoping for him to breakout. No one else impressed. But hey, Mich goal.

Really hope this is just a miscommunication, or there's a really good reason for it.

If Zegras truly is playing wing 3 games into the year, my "be patient with Tocchet"-commitment is going to be tested. Why are we doing this now? We can learn so much over the year, while there is nothing to be learned about Dvorak at center. I don't mind him taking FOs, but otherwise no.

That movie + Weapons is an excellent 1-2 punch for the season.

TK & Couts only were not great with Tippett. They did they fine with Michkov and Farabee. The 11-14-39 line was a pretty good line overall, even against other top lines across the NHL. It wasn't gamebreaking, but it was solid. What were you looking at that said they were bad together?

i think they compliment each other very well. Couturier is still an effective play driver who thinks the game at a high level. MM needs someone with defensive responsibilities. The real trick is pairing Michkov with TK, and allowing Couts to play support while TK and MM to do their thing

Zegras got bodied most of the night. Very easy to strip and push off the luck. Would like to see some different line looks but it’s only game 1 of 82.
