I can barely be arsed at this point. Profile to come? I just miss my people from the smoking, bird-shaped crater who didn't move over to Mastodon. elizarde/k2cuss2/EElliottKnits, in case you're wondering who the latest weirdo who followed you is.
Though I do hear that they have yarn there. so we'll see how long the project monogamy lasts.
10.02.2026 15:52 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thank you! I'm sure I'll bore everyone to sobs with photos.
So glad I'm staying with my friend, too: the first 3 days will be recovering from the trip by doing absolutely nothing but sleeping and hanging out with her sheep. And probably taking photos. Mostly of the sheep.
Kind of proud that I'm only bringing one knitting project--using stash yarn!--though of course it's a summer pullover that I designed for the trip. Because there wasn't enough to do to get ready, clearly.
10.02.2026 15:36 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Suddenly realizing--on departure day--that a couple of books and some music may not cut it for 24 hrs in transit. So now I've overcompensated: 2 movies (I'll finally watch Sinners!) + several episodes of a series + updated Timberborn. That should sort me out.
Aotearoa New Zealand, here I come.

07.02.2026 08:34 β π 131 π 50 π¬ 20 π 22You may. I really, really don't. I turned off autoplay today, when I realized standing in the full blast of the firehose of nightmares that my feed has become piles on despair & anxiety without fixing a damn thing. We need to know, yes. I don't need to have video of it streamed at me on repeat.
07.02.2026 10:19 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Yeah, I've done that now, but appreciate you mentioning it.
07.02.2026 10:10 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yes, you can turn off autoplay. I've now done that. But good gravy, man, just...why would you do that?
06.02.2026 18:51 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It's been said before, but if you're posting about something horrific, and you know it (e.g. you've added a trigger warning), could you please at least consider not attaching a video of the horror on a site that autoplays video?
If you see such a post, FFS please think before hitting 'repost'.
Look, I don't want to be a jerk here, but if you're posting about something horrific, and you know it (hence the trigger warning, I assume), could you please consider not attaching a video on a site that autoplays video?
06.02.2026 18:43 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Finally watching Novemberβs NDP leadership debate. Listening to the translators try to figure out what the candidates are saying in French isβ¦awkward. 28.01.2026 18:25 β π 4 π 2 π¬ 1 π 0One of the major shifts at Nine Ten in 2026 is a move away from selling books directly to readers (EXCEPT for special bundles, signed copies, and pre-orders! I'll do a video about those exceptions soon!). Here's why π Got questions about this? Ask away!
