I think schools teaching Cambridge are letting our children down. Some of my favourite parts of school were NZ History modules and NZ authors taught in English. To ignore or belittle our country's contribution makes these schools unworthy of being considered excellent.

Since the start of standards-based education those outside the system have struggled with the idea that education is a developmental process, not one dedicated to sorting learners. This conception dominated thinking until the late 80's.
