Colorado Sun, 9News were denied child abuse hotline data four years ago. The case is now at the state’s highest court. The news agencies wanted to know the number of times child residential treatment centers had called the child abuse hotline but were denied by state human services officials

This records denial has maddened me for years and I'm eager for the state Supreme Court to make the logical ruling.

I was part of the team that filed this request. There is no way that getting the number of calls at a facility would somehow identify children.
