VCU’s defense is awesome to watch. Just completely giving Nevada fits. Rams by 11 at the half in the last game of the day here in Charleston

First-year head coach Mark Byington has Vanderbilt at 6-0 with three wins against notable opponents and heading to the Charleston title game with a 76-60 win against Seton Hall. Tyler Nickel was outstanding for Vandy.

Has a chance to get the program back on the right track.

This Miami run feels a bit too little too late

Miami’s performances the past two days have been really concerning. Did not play well in the loss to Drake and now down 16 at the half to Oklahoma State. Things are slipping for Jim Larrañaga’s team, quickly.

Bulldogs are an interesting case study, too, on how talent can translate to both D2 and D1 levels. A head coach and four guys coming from a Division 2 school (a very good one albeit) and so far playing very well this year. A win over Miami yesterday and now on the verge of another against FAU.

I really enjoy watching Drake play. Bulldogs play extremely fundamental and smart basketball. Guys know their role.

I think Bennett Stirtz could start or be the first guy off the bench on just about every team in the country.

Happy Pitino Bowl day everybody

Very encouraging performance from Indiana in a 16-point win against South Carolina. Hoosiers have a talented roster on paper between Rice, Mgbako, Reneau, Ballo and more. Will be about having that talent working together. Today was a good step towards that.

A dominant first half from Ole Miss. I’m definitely still a bit skeptical of them being a top 25 team in the country but they have played well in the first 20 minutes against a solid Colorado State team.

Early takeaway from Ole Miss-Colorado State: the Memphis Hustle G-League team plays in Mississippi. Who knew?

Syracuse will end up winning it in double OT. Man oh man that would have been a disaster.

Double overtime between Syracuse and Youngstown State!

Nice win for Xavier against Wake Forest. This is a good resume win for a team that could find itself on the bubble for a lot of the year. Having Zach Freemantle back will be critical for the Musketeers. He’s given them a nice boost.
