Sticking to some of Paul and Revelation keeps them pretty focused on the non-Jesus stuff.

This afternoon, I re-watched the episode in which Sisko and Nerys both realize that the prophecies are true, just not in expected ways.

When I wear my Progress Pride flag pin in public, I regularly hear, "Hey, I like your pin," and I say thanks. The object is not identifying myself but for others out there to feel a little less alone; that pin doesn't signal only a recognition of pride issues but of shared humane concerns.

I love having short story collections by individual authors. And I find that story collections I grab at the library are great introductions to writers about whose novel work I'm curious. That relationship between the forms and how the author employs them is so artistically and narratively vital.

Wishing you all well. I'm just home from an ER visit that turned into surgery and a constant shifting of what I knew would happen in the next hours. I took great comfort from the competency and concern that surrounded me. I hope you're feeling surrounded by support even as you experience isolation.
