I like the idea that in a month this quote will also be gone. I like the idea of our conversations existing just in the now again.

That said, though Zero Mission holds your hand a little too much for me, it's such a fun game that I just use that as my first game when playing through the series.

Yeah it was too cryptic for me. Like, Metroid 2 went too far in the other direction by blocking off rooms with acid for no reason, but at least I didn't get lost & quit. I experienced the entire game & understood Metroid horror so when they nailed down the balance in Super, I was already a fan.

I really hate it when scientists keep saying that β€œwe need to rebuild trust in science,” because it implies that scientists are to blame for the mistrust rather than the millions of dollars of dark money that have funded political attacks on science in order to advance a far right agenda.

The UK is considering a policy that would effectively segregate trans people from society. It would bar trans people from "single sex spaces" even when they use the facility of their sex assigned at birth.

This is a full on policy of segregation without even the benefit of separate facilities.

Trump in a room with a very charismatic person results in like half a day of Trump agreeing with everything that person said, so this has the potential to be very, very funny.

They make games and movies like they used to. So many of them. Same with books.

But the mechanisms you learned about them were totally gutted and changed to only amplify shit that's already popular.

It's still there! You're just mostly on your own to find it.

Credit card fraud
Black neon tetras committed credit card fraud during a 2023 livestream by "Mutekimaru Channel" on YouTube. The owner was using motion-tracking software to turn the fish's movements into Nintendo Switch inputs, letting them "play" video games. 8 In 2020, the fish beat Pokemon Sapphire after 3,195 hours, a feat that takes about 30 hours for a typical human. 9/ 181 On January 14, 2023, PokΓ©mon Violet crashed at 1,144 hours, giving the fish free access to the main menu. They entered inputs that opened Nintendo eShop, added 500 yen ($3.85 USD) to their owner's account, and exposed his credit card details on the livestream. 10) 11) Mutekimaru later requested a refund of the 500 yen from Nintendo. l12)
"Fish eagerly read the terms and conditions. Many of us humans don't read the terms of service, but fish are smarter than we are"
- caption from Mutekimaru in a video about the incident 12)
The fish also downloaded an N64 emulator, set up PayPal, used reward points to buy an avatar, and changed Mutekimaru's Nintendo account name to
"ROWAWAWA*". 13, After about seven hours, their movements shut down the Switch. 14)

When my friends and I were alcoholic 25yos, chain-smoking and drinking steel reserve on our band-house porch, giving each other homosocial haircuts, smoking weed and watching Wim Wenders movies all day, there was no one who's approval we valued more than the morally ambiguous forest-witch Baba Yaga.

I'm not even ashamed to say I crashed out on both NES titles despite the subsequent 2D Zelda games being some of my favorite video games of all time. I'm the same way with NES Metroid vs every 2D Metroid that's come out since.

A Link Between Worlds is incredible, but even then I'm not sure it beats Minish Cap. Though I feel like some of the dungeon designs played on the same concepts not involving shrinking or for Four Swords. Very similar feels, but each with very different mechanics. Which is why they're both favorites.

Like you do not understand: one of the reasons I am exercising again is so it won't hurt when I am leaning over pressing something together.

I adore building legos and only stopped because of cost, so I cherish when I get them as gifts. This disability will not take that away from me.
