People sometimes donโt help though ๐ซฃ

03.08.2025 04:05 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Iโve consistently watched โsuccessfulโ get coding sessions take longer than without. There are exceptions - which are magical - but devs need to learn to try it and bail faster.
02.08.2025 19:46 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0For every successful vibe coding story (that i donโt actually believe is real) there are several hundred like this.
Agentic coding only works with massive human intervention, and with the true cost of agents being 20-30k/yr/dev Iโm inclined to think itโs a fad and not a revolution.
Depends.
Tell me, whatโs the difference between a ResourceType, ResourceKey, ResourceData, ResourceSchema, ReactiveResource, ReactiveResourceArray, and a Resource?
Now: User vs ReactiveUser vs UserResource vs UserSchema vs UserData?
This is basically one of several reasons why we did it that way for WarpDrive/EmberData (there are a lot of other benefits too like being able to use discriminating unions / partials etc)
02.08.2025 03:18 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0At least 44. Thereโs a few more Iโve probably dropped in on during road trips but been so many places itโs hard to recall.
31.07.2025 06:12 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Immaterial but Iโm about to move 400m up a hill ๐คฃ (currently Iโd need to bike up 400-600m for most of the trailheads, thereโs only a few near the base I can run up from).
For sure there are some things scale probably solves or smoothes out. Iโm tall - leads to being an edge case for a lot.
For instance, in Dublin I opted to just run an extra 6miles each way to go run on the Wicklow Way because it was going to be 20-40min faster each way than taking the bus, and there was no bike storage (and also bike rentals wouldnโt let me park near city outskirts).
29.07.2025 07:20 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Also Iโm focusing a lot on bikes here but thatโs due to flexibility. Public transit to something like a trailhead is rarely if ever going to be direct - youโll be super lucky if itโs just 1-2 transfers.
29.07.2025 07:20 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Iโve often felt we should be lobbying for more secure bike storage at places beyond transit hubs.
29.07.2025 07:16 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0The trouble with โlow cost bikesโ as a solution is it presumes low cost bikes (1) survive the hill test - they donโt - but Denmark has no hills - and (2) exist for folks like me (cheapish second hand bikes for someone my size are usually >$1k). Maybe that comes down at scale.. maybe it doesnโt.
29.07.2025 07:16 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0But also I agree .. invest in the standard commutes and car dependence goes down and roads free up for everything else!
29.07.2025 07:16 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Iโve spent a decent block of time in Copenhagen, and a number of other European cities known both for their great transit and bike culture. Itโs lovely. I also found it unworkable for anything that wasnโt โthis is a very standard commuteโ or โIโm a tourist that cares less about time optimizationโ.
29.07.2025 07:16 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0So move closer to trails? Great! Such privilege (which I have and am, but is not a scalable solution). In short - nothing will ever beat the flexibility or time savings of cars except motorcycles or flying cars. This does not mean invest in car culture .. but stop idiotically trying to cancel cars.
29.07.2025 06:29 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0So ride a bike? Bike lanes are the least of your worries. Not going to leave a bike at a trailhead while off on a run - youโd be buying a new bike every few days. And Iโm out 1-2hours of my life each time.
29.07.2025 06:29 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Take trail running (literally the primary thing I use my car for). I live within a 12-20min drive of at least 50 trailheads representing thousands of miles of trails. If I were to bike that would be roughly triple the time. Make all the improvements & Buses/trains would still never beat a bike.
29.07.2025 06:29 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Iโd really love to see faster trains, more lines, more regular service, more bus routes, and better bike infra and culture.
But the folks that act like weโre a few trains and bike lanes away from killing off cars and car culture have zero concept of transit time costs.
And a new meme was born

28.07.2025 06:11 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0It didnโt keep me from voting for Kamala but itโs been one of several things that make me strongly agree itโs time to burn down the establishment dems in favor of the grassroots progressives even faster. Grow a spine and stand up for whatโs right.

Agree on the Mexican. Itโs just so versatile.
Early feedback: I love it. Glass is maybe my favorite UX from Apple yet. Glass is like MCP for design.
Apps that donโt adopt it are going to stand out and not necessarily in a good way, because they wonโt have that feel of seamless integration.
