When you publish something, it is the highest form of compliment when others try to build on it.

You demean your reputation and cause direct harm to others when your work is not reproducible.

Think mood affects performance? Our new NHL study shows it's more the other way around. Psychological states don't predict performance, but performance does shape psychological states the next day. www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10....

What makes exploratory research valuable? We discuss 6 factors: 1) Large and 2) Uncommon sample 3) Rigorous data collection 4) Widely used measures that 5) Reveal a coherent pattern across variables meaningful to others and 6) The potential to generate questions.

Oh to Greg's point I was referring to the meta analytic case like in section 3.2 & 3.4 here www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1...

But to Lorenzo's point the back transformation is admittedly only interprtable in cases where all effects are of the same unit of measurement.

It may also depend on the journal's policy/preferences. Eg, "Nature journals prefer authors to write in the active voice ("we performed the experiment...") as experience has shown that readers find concepts and results to be conveyed more clearly if written directly"
