Trust in national politics is broken.

But pride in community is strong, and people want more say over what happens where they live.

Our new report with @hopenothate.org.uk makes the case: If we want to change how people feel about politics, we have to start where hope still exists.

Today, on the 80th anniversary of VE Day, we remember the victory, as well as the unity, sacrifice and co-operation behind it.
