Eh....still not completely convinced. Learning to simplify writing is part of learning to write. I want students to do that, not AI. Getting lists of members is easier with Google. Can't speak to code, though, since I don't code.
I'm not a technophobe, I just think you learn to do by doing.

Not adamantly opposed, but so far, I haven't seen a use case that doesn't undermine the whole educational purpose of the exercise. What are you telling them about how to use it?

Hot take, pre-AAA: You know what I miss in Anthropology? Arguments. You know, people putting out ideas that other people disagree with strongly and providing evidence that other people can examine and contest. Disagreement. It's less interesting when everyone nods and agrees.
