Yeah distilling her entire philosophy down to that always rubbed me the wrong way in life is strange! She didn’t really write much which to me says she wanted to present her art at face value and let people get what they would from it - good and bad.

If nothing else that’s a marker that Covid is getting less severe because no way I could have done that 2 infections ago…

And, let’s be real From really don’t have the strongest UX approaches but for all the lack of obvious UX what is there is in the systems themselves

I got salty a couple times that I was forced into really challenging solo fights to get the story and special outfits but you know what? It works!!

I ended up having SO much fun learning to play in ways I’ve always struggled with (super heavy/slow weapons, slow rolls, squishy mage, parrying)

Probably one of the coolest things aside from all the rogue like elements of the runs is the way the story is delivered so that if you want all the story you have to engage with / master each class (Nightfarer). It’s such a cool way to use rewards to encourage mastery outside of your comfort zone

Elden Ring Nightreign is so much my jam in every way.

I platinummed it last weekend and I just completed all the lore/story quests (remembrances) for every character. I’ve been on teams that have beaten every boss including the everdark sovereign upgrades (except one 🥲) and it’s just SO good!!
