26.01.2026 15:58 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The corporations here might as well have just stayed silent if this is their response to ICE: www.nytimes.com/2026/01/25/b...
I used to work at 3M - several friends still do. The CEO now lives in Florida and only just said anything about all of us on Wednesday.
Once again: Focusing on their lack of training is a mistake. With "better training," their violence would simply cost more, and they would still kill whoever they wanted, but make it look more professional β to make people more comfortable, the way many of you are at ease with local police violence.
24.01.2026 15:59 β π 3551 π 1151 π¬ 42 π 45It did. They're not my favorite donut in the city, but they're popular and there's a decent chance kids were there.

24.01.2026 04:22 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I worked with Alex on a project at the state fair and he's excellent.
24.01.2026 02:53 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I was home with the kids (just one of us is protesting out of precaution) while my husband went to his. His words when he came home: "It didn't feel that cold!" (He had snow pants, a balaclava, heat packs and ski goggles on.)
24.01.2026 02:32 β π 7 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0ICE detained St. Paul resident ChongLy Scott Thao in his underwear. The suspect whom agents were looking for was already in prison β and has been there since Sept. 4, 2024. bit.ly/4qxjGeJ

Never felt compelled to go back, I guess, but this sure comes across as either intentionally bad or tone deaf. www.facebook.com/share/1763LV...
I figured. There are definitely some outstate folks that are starting to wake up to the horrors of ICE, at least, just not sure if it's enough.
22.01.2026 19:11 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0That's what we've been telling you! So don't vote to fund them and show up for this.
22.01.2026 16:28 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Nope nope nope.
22.01.2026 16:27 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0And the Science Museum! www.facebook.com/share/p/16Pp...
22.01.2026 16:25 β π 7 π 0 π¬ 1 π 2Good, but ICE should be abolished. It shouldn't receive any funding at all - not just any more - and I hope you'll talk to Klobuchar and McCollum about it, too, since they don't seem to be listening to us.
22.01.2026 14:46 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I emailed McCollum about not funding them at all and got a generic non response. Should call her office today.
22.01.2026 14:44 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Well the U isn't closing completely, but only essential employees are to report to the TC campus.
22.01.2026 14:28 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Right? This and the train museum are popular when the weather is rough like it will be tomorrow, so this is saying a lot.
22.01.2026 14:27 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0There is one word in the English language that explains what Minneapolis is experiencing right now: tyranny.
We are under assault by a tyrannical government and its little jackbooted commandant. We are going to keep fighting, and we will win, stand with us.
The model train museum is excellent and I've only been there for kid's birthday parties.
22.01.2026 04:20 β π 11 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The Children's Museum is closing, too!
22.01.2026 04:19 β π 25 π 0 π¬ 3 π 1Just got an email from our CRM provider - based here - that they'll be closed Friday. First I've seen of anything from a non retail business.
In the same email, they shared "it's worse than you're likely hearing" if you're outside MSP, which is very true.
Bad photo of leftover Lanna Thai's curried fried rice.
Still have Lulu's Salsas leftovers in the fridge.
Ope, just got an email that they will not. "Employees who plan to be away on January 23rd must use vacation or personal holiday time with the supervisor's advance approval."
20.01.2026 21:55 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The U of M's unions are trying to get it to close. I don't see it happening, unfortunately, particularly given their response to date.
Also telling it's pretty much all small businesses - those with the most to lose, really.
This is my kid's school district. He's actually in a PreK through Community Ed so he has school still, but no Discovery Club so one of us has to leave work early.
Bringing him to school today felt eerie. All staff there. No kids except the PreK, and about half of them at that.
I didn't end up taking the PTO I'd planned for last Friday and was debating moving it to this Friday but I'm not quite sure if that counts for a strike? SPPS has it rough since they're off Monday-Wednesday already.
18.01.2026 03:32 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0So very shocked ICE is lying yet again.

16.01.2026 17:36 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0To watch The Price is Right. Because drinking at 10 am is fine if it's with friends, right??
