Was surprised and delighted to find he's a fully age-appropriate crush for a 53-year-old

"Do you remember when it was easy to drive to your local out of town retail outlet?" he wonders. I remember people complaining about the traffic in our out of town centre when I worked there during my A Levels in 1990

If she really can't move and really has no cash then maybe she needs to explore equity release. Obviously that will eat into what is left for the daughter, but I'm not overly bothered about that tbh

I read that the not-chosen option required more compulsory purchases of homes, so maybe that was factored in

You don't think it's significant that the BBC makes the UK's most popular programmes?

Top programmes report The top 50 programmes on TV based on the size of their total viewing audience over the week (including live, VOSDAL, time-shifted and total audience viewing figures). Filter by channel or audience.

The BBC had 8 of the top 10 most viewed shows last week (the others were Bake Off and Trigger Point). Viewing figures on linear are down across the board but it's still the most watched channel www.thinkbox.tv/research/bar...

Really interesting article that leaves me with the impression that there should have been four Nobel prize winners, not three

"Reeves got permission" doesn't feel like a new story, it feels like an excuse for you to write yesterday's story again. Barrel scraping

He sent back the Β£900 desk and replaced it with stuff from Ikea instead - this story isn't worth the pixels

27.10.2025 12:19 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

He didn't spend Β£900 on a desk though, he returned it and got a full refund, so this 'story' is even weaker than I thought

He's been on quite a journey. I used to follow him in the other place during the Johnson era when he was generally centre right and normal. It's sad what's happened to him

Tory MPs were saying No 10 should have 'found' more evidence to support the prosecution - is that really something we want to see? Might there be some unintended consequences, maybe?

A lot of commentators and MPs seem quite keen on the PM being able to pressurise the CPS to institute criminal proceedings against political enemies and can see no downsides to this at all

Genuinely thought they were researching attitudes to "2" and "7" and such, so I would finally find out which everyday number was the most popular

London records fewest homicides this year since monthly records beganΒ  - London Business News | Londonlovesbusiness.com London records fewest homicides this year since monthly records began in 2003 with just 70 cases reported.

The number of homicides in London in the first nine months of 2025 was lower than in any year since monthly records began in 2003.

That is thanks to the intelligence-led enforcement, vital prevention work led by my VRU & MOPAC's pioneering efforts to tackle reoffending.

No shame on Rylan, who I like, bit this is a terrible image and headline, especially given the subject matter

I suppose worthy is a relative term, but I would not be happy to see it go to Trump as long as he's continuing his current domestic agenda, notwithstanding any international successes

10.10.2025 10:45 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

I don't think so - you have to balance those successes (if they materialise) with the civil rights abuses he is pursuing in his own country - the sorts of abuses that this year's winner has been fighting against
