The prime ministerโ€™s economic adviser also suggested that rejoining the EU customs union would be one of the most effective ways of generating growth.

This too was quickly knocked back.

Whatโ€™s the point of Keir Starmer employing an economics advisor if he ignores her on the biggest economic issue of the day?

That's what happens when people aim to be politicians as a career from when they attend University. No real world experience, and they just do as they are told because that's what you "do" in a job.

How are all those Labour politicians cheering for it?

They were literally whipped to vote for it and then the Prime Minister suspended those who didn't.

They really are totally devoid of any moral principle.

They respond to one thing - and that's political pressure.

New poll shows 75% favour joining single market to lower taxes Of British adults who feel Brexit has been harmful to the UK, over 75% favour the UK joining the Single Market and Customs Union as a way to lower the tax burden and boost money for public services.

New polling from European Movement UK shows that three quarters of people who see the economic damage of Brexit now back joining the Single Market and Customs Union to cut taxes and rebuild public services. The public knows the route to recovery, even if the Government refuses to face it.

Farage and the Tory right will unite because they want power. Will the left just stand by? | Neal Lawson Itโ€™s time for a harsh reality check. A progressive bloc of parties refusing to see a common threat risks disaster, says Neal Lawson of Compass

Russia has zero interest in peace. Calling Kremlin demands for Ukrainian surrender โ€˜peace talksโ€™ is just another way of spreading their propaganda.

Alongside many campaigners, the Green Party have absolutely dragged the Labour Government to finally end the child cap.

Labour politicians disgracefully defended it for far too long.

This shows why the Green Party membership rising and rising matters.

Fact check: Do renewables really make electricity grids less reliable? In Germany, power availability to homes and businesses has increased over the years โ€“ even as the share of renewables has climbed.

Critics of renewable energy often claim that these technologies are making the worldโ€™s electricity grids more vulnerable to power outages.

However, global data doesnโ€™t support the scepticsโ€™ claims. In fact, there's evidence that the opposite is true.
