35 Years Ago Today. The opening act was Technotronic (Pump Up the Jam). Madonna at her most fierceness! I remember being riveted, on the edge of my seat. It wasn't until "Holiday" when we could release and dance. Cathartic stuff, for sure.

I agreed to help a friend move. He had one of those piles. As I stuffed the clothes in garage bags, we went from shorts to sweaters to shorts again. It was a year's worth! I swore I would never help him move again. That was 26 years ago. Ewwww

We need to bring back science fiction musical comedies!

We saw her in SF last month. I think SAY SOMETHING was my favorite moment. When the lights hit that disco ball at the crescendo chorus, the crowd went mental. I nearly wept.

Alison Moyet at The Fillmore last night. She was spectacular! A terrific retrospective setlist of 40 years a solo artist, plus the Yazoo (Yaz) hits we all remember. Seeing her has been on my bucket list forever. Such a great night!! [Love her movements too]

16 Years Ago Today! I've been a fan since the first time "Closer to Fine" was a hit (1989) and still can't believe I got to hear them live. It was a great setlist, generous with fan favorites and deep cuts. I still think about their stories told between songs. Such a terrific, energetic concert!

Wish I could see it

Really tough, complicated feelings to work through. I hope this box diving helps (I have 2 small journals from the 80s I'll be attacking soon)

I can't help but initially think "Did I work in that building?" Then I divorced myself from that thought and just looked at it. I suppose it's a way of looking at your everyday world in a new way (no great insight here, just think aloud)

Mr Bares was terrific! Haven't seen Loverman yet but loved the book.

The different shadows are fun and elusive. I've never seen K look more haunting.

Went to see "Parade" on Wed and I'm *still* thinking about it. Haunting, beautiful, surprising, heartbreaking.

My friends saw this in New York. They were so inspired they bought ME the book and I got it for Christmas that year. Oh myyyyyyy! I still have that book but refuse to open it [joking, it's more of a manual]
