Yes, riveting. That entire production was superb. I also saw her in The Seagull and an afternoon of Chekhov’s Women, which was my one chance to see Rachel, Lady Redgrave (billed as Rachel Kempson, of course) on stage as one endeavors to collect family members.

I’d imagine Miss Harris was very good, but she really is more of a Miss Daisy, I think. That, I wish I had seen. On the other hand, Miss Redgrave as Daisy sounds all wrong. Did you see her?

When Maggie turned down an extension of Lettice and Lovage, the Shuberts should have reached out to Kenneth Williams to replace. He’d been dead for a couple of years but still would have been good.
