It’s hard when you KNOW there are a bunch of bangers episodes coming but you got to slog through the bad and mid.

β€œSuddenly Human” is a mid TNG episode and it could have been great if they just had Jono bond with Worf instead of Picard. You know, the character adopted by another species…

But there were plenty of men waiting for their services.

Being a "stay at home" mom? HAHA. What??? Survival drove them. They worked, often illegally, because they had no education and needed to survive.

Women have *always worked*. They were just un(der)paid, unappreciated, exploited, & ignored.

Something that's been on my mind as I research this topic of seamstresses is how many women work. Really work. Work from their young teens forward. And some turned to sex work to provide when their craft could not.

There were no men waiting to make them "honest women." There rarely are.

I read the Wikipedia page for β€œWuthering Heights” and like…. Wat?

I really do wish more adaptations adapted the other half of the book! Catherine and Hareton are interesting characters!!!!

I often think about the fact that if the FBI et al had not killed Fred Hampton, he would be 78 today. Younger than Jesse Jackson was. Must have felt strange to outlive many of your contemporaries by decades.

A Star Trek show with with men wearing dress, an atypical Klingon in Starfleet, a person with a disability visible and atypical women in positions they typically haven’t had in Trek before?!?!? How dare they?!? How woke!

The Next Generation is wildly woke.

The scene where Tom Hagan tells Vito about Sonny is probably my favorite in The Godfather. It’s both an employee speaking to his boss and a father and son. Both parts of their relationship shift and blend together in a few minutes.
