Top #patchbirding at Brough this weekend. 2 WF geese on the airfield were supplemented by a flock of almost 100 birds that flew in today! Also a great egret, a marsh tit, 100s of dunlin & lapwing, a good range of ducks including goldeneye, shoveler & teal, m+f stonechat #birding

Lovely #birding walk along the River Hull to High Eske & the Leven Canal. A 10 duck day: mallard teal tufted gadwall goldeneye pochard pintail shoveler wigeon & a fancy pants drake smew. Also 4 corn bunting (NFY) 10+ yhammer, a great egret, 2 cattle egret, a buzzard, ~25 redshank.

Great to bump into the amiable and knowledgeable Hornsea Mere stalwart Jon Lamplough, at S Landing. Very kind of him to give me a lift to Brid station #birdingcommunity

Great #lowcarbonbirding trip to @flamboroughbird.bsky.social. Bus-train-bus to N Landing. 3 snow bunts on cliff path, 2 firecrest (NFY) near lighthouse. Johnny Mac kindly gave me a lift to Thornwick Pools but alas I dipped Pallas' warbler. Walked to S Landing for the showy dusky warbler (lifer)

Lovely #lowcarbonbirding trip to Flamborough. Dipped on firecrest & twite but 2 snow buntings, 2 peregrines, lots stonechat, 2 very late swallows, & the confiding waders at Brid harbour more than compensated #birding. Great to be back out in the fresh air after being laid up with a cold last wknd.

#lowcarbonbirding trip to @flamboroughbird.bsky.social today. Bad train/bus hook up at Brid (first Hull train arrived just as first bus to North Landing left!) meant plenty of time to admire the confiding waders in the harbour - 3 sanderling, lots turnstone + purple sandpiper #birding

My first bsky post!
#lowcarbonbirding bus trip to #Spurn today. Great start at the Warren with glossy ibis +my best ever views of hawfinch (both NFY). Up to Easington lagoons for the showy pectoral sand (lifer 😀). Ably supported by black redstart, at least 10 stonechat, flyover RT diver #spurnbirds
