One thing going to work full-time has done to me, when I get home, I am done people-ing. I realized just now that I was on the edge of yelling at my kids for loudly talking to each other in the kitchen, so I took an anti-anxiety med to try and deal with trick or treating.

The teenagers, in their civics class, are doing DIORAMAS of September 11th. I’m so glad that they’re learning about it, and their arts and craftsmanship is great, but all the little towers and planes are really freaking creepy and I hate it.

Like the tortilla in a burrito counts for bread, totally.

It doesn’t help that the only bathroom for the 6th grade wing isn’t IN the 6th grade wing, and there is no bathroom in the cafeteria or the play yard.

I have gotten EYE-ann at the Dr office. He also used to call himself “Een” (like, “e’en” in a song)

I was in the lite sped class on Monday, and the only limit there, for the kids who demonstrably NEED to be in the class learning, is one bathroom pass per 40ish minute class.

Huh, turns out Korean spoons are the perfect size for gremlin-style eating out of a jar!

As a woman, always strike first and fight dirty, it’s our best chance to win.

My husband ate 3 servings, my two older children tried it and described it as “bitter, but also spicy” they went on to eat bologna and mayo on white bread, and a plain baked potato with butter. So, they’re not really into spices anyhow.

It’s hard sometimes, when I realize another way I made myself small to try not to provoke my MiL. But, I made jambalaya tonight, for the first time in years!

Were you at home still the time she decided that nit combing with isopropyl alcohol was The Way? I still have the nice metal comb she gave me after that.

I made Big Mac tacos again, they really hit the spot. Only wish is that I had a nice crisp fountain Diet Coke, but it’s too late in the day for that anyhow.

Tween vociferously objects to hearing Blippi. But is already wearing headphones listening to something else. And refuses to leave the room that Blippi is playing in. 🤷‍♀️

Just made dinner, pasta and red sauce with homegrown black cherry tomatoes - tasted like I added sugar! So nice!

I went and saw “Into the Woods” at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, and it was delightful, so I had it in mind, and now Joanna Gleason is a guest star on the old tv show we’re watching. She’s so great. I didn’t know she got a Tony for the Baker’s Wife. Now I want to rewatch Mr Holland’s Opus.
