4 years ago I was swimming in the deep end of a public pool when I heard a tiny voice behind me say “somebody help me”. I was a lifeguard for 5 years in my young-adult years so I didn’t bother looking for one of her people before my training kicked in. The dad had the nerve to be mad at me!

I’d call the elementary and see if they know of anyone still at the middle (?) school they can help get you in contact with. If it’s the high school, the office might be closed but I guarantee things are still going on and the doors are probably open during the day.
