FHFA's director is NOT supposed to side with one credit scoring company over another -- he's supposed to do what's best for home buyers. Seems he needs a reminder.

Congress let consumers down in its attack on the Consumer Watchdog

The U.S.House voted to permanently obliterate two CFPB rules--the Overdraft fee rule & the Payment App Oversight rule.

Congress let the country down by banning reasonable consumer protections for the benefit of oligarchs.

Trump’s Latest Deregulatory EO Calls for a Lawless, Unconscionable Rollback of Commonsense Public Protections - Public Citizen WASHINGTON, D.C. – President Donald Trump late Wednesday issued an executive order calling for agencies to identify and repeal regulations…

NEW: Trump's latest deregulatory EO is a lawless, unconscionable attempt to roll back commonsense protections for workers, consumers, families, civil rights, our environment, and more.

We will challenge this blatantly unlawful effort at every step.

The CFPB is under attack today in the House of Representatives. This is the only federal financial agency that protects consumers. Some lawmakers are working on abolishing its rules, its funding & its mission to protect you.

Pls Call Congress to let your reps know:
Don't Destroy the CFPB.

US House members vote today to either defend Wells Fargo & Chase's billions reaped each year in Overdraft fees or
support the CFPB's protection of consumers-by limiting OD fees.

The choice to protect constituents should be clear.

The CFPB drops its case against payment app Zelle, in another sign of a Trump pivot It's the latest lawsuit abandoned by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau since Trump appointees have taken over at the bureau.

CFPB has dropped its enforcement suit against payment service Zelle and parent banks.

According to the CFPB, consumers at the three largest 3 banks lost over $870 million over seven years due to inadeuqaute protections from widespread Zelle fraud.

This is putting more consumers at risk.

Big Tech payment apps just got a corporate pardon from the Trump Admin--leaving consumers' money from payment app fraud in corporations' pockets.

Next up is the Senate-they vote whether to permanently remove oversight of P2P fraud losses. Consumers need a CFPB that prevents fraud & protects them.

The Trump CFPB has let all consumers down--this time--by dropping the EWS/Zelle lawsuit.
Tomorrow the Senate will vote on pardoning all corporations for payment app dereliction of duties.
The goal: to kill federal oversight of payment fraud and financial relief for consumers.
Senators just say no

Consumer watchdog payouts in limbo as agency defanged by Trump administration The Trump administration's decision to put the U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau on ice has left a $100 million pot of money intended for borrowers allegedly harmed by the student loan servicer Navient sitting in limbo, according to an advocacy organization.

Hey DOGE, where’s the efficiency? Money owed to consumers from financial abuse is in limbo right now, since the Trump administration has suspended the work of the CFPB. Complaints aren't being processed and lawsuits are being dropped. Looks like financial losses, not gains.

As the Trump administration tries to dismantle it,consumers caution HANDS OFF our CFPB complaint system!

Trump ordered a federal spending freeze on all grants & loans.

Students won't receive financial aid. Food assistance programs like SNAP are on pause. Programs like Medicaid and rental assistance will be impacted.

All this does is make it harder for working people to survive.
