‘When they learnt to carry both lullabies and the scream of falling steel’ My heart broke reading this…. You weave the reality of having to keep going… making bread … with the horror. And the ending on the back of all of that… humanity does get through but at what price. 👏

‘How red the colour of your collateral damage’ Really enjoyed the pace and emotion in this.. as much as you can enjoy anything on this subject. You really communicate the rejection of rules.

‘Death is not just by bullets and bombs’ powerful ending. 👏

The ‘secret challenge’. This is beautiful… speaks of a mother’s love and the realities of parenting in a war zone. Really spoke to me. Through the eyes of a child.. beautiful and haunting.

Really powerful. Love ‘the ribs of buildings’ and the hands reaching out at the end…
