that said, I have given my work gsuite account write access to my home calendar, and it works, but I also don't like the idea of giving my employer access to modify my home calendar.

No thumbs REALLY helps with pain. It turns laptop keyboards into ergonomic keyboards (natural wrist position). Which I can't use because I alternate the middle columns.
