This website might just be the best open-source project execution we've seen in the last decade

Years ago I swore that I would never play Fortnite. It looked stupid and childish. But it turns out there is no promise I wouldn’t break for the sake of the Simpsons.

Man, I love Zed. It's such an awesome editor. My only problem is GitHub Copilot just won't work right. It'll just stop thinking out of nowhere. On VSCode, it's perfect! So, I always have to fall back on Claude Code or the Gemini CLI to get any AI stuff done in Zed.

OpenAI is preparing for IPO at $1T valuation. Does this mean the bubble is finally going to burst?

a software package registry on atproto would actually be so good

qualify things as you need: the installed name, the verified project DNS (kinda like Java), the publishing DID, the signed package record - or *some combination* of the above

99 problems and they've all been assigned Fibonacci numbers and added to the backlog.

I got FC26 for Switch 2. It had been a couple of years since I last played FIFA (on PS5), and honestly, I don't remember that version being much better than how this one runs on the Switch 2. It's definitely playable and enjoyable.

Just convinced another client to use @expo.dev! I told them "check out reactnative.dev, it recommends it for new projects."

Such a change from a few years ago. Used to be an endless battle debating pros/cons. Someone even accused me of being paid to push it! πŸ˜…

This is a cult. Not the type of personalist high control cult that is popular in the public imagination, but more akin to a mystery cult (these are all around us today). A cult of pivoting your business from AI-sandals to drug testing.

That's what I've been saying. Lately, I enjoy writing React the most when I'm doing it on Native.

1. Bluesky doesn’t downrank links
2. You can choose your own algorithm from among thousands
3. The whole app is open source

This keeps it a free and open platform by design, leading to better click-throughs and traffic to your site.

We πŸ’™ the open web.

I think BlueSky does a bad job of marketing the fact that no one actually owns the platform

The β€œtech right” is is simply creating technical debt that someone will have to fix later if they don’t want to succumb to it

This might be the most pointless trade war in history. There’s no real reason for it, and all it will do is create unnecessary economic pain.

Maybe it's because we can properly use links here, but it feels like BlueSky has become more tech-savvy than the other platform, which I like.

As someone who works a lot with React Native/Expo, I love how this app looks and feelsβ€”it could easily pass as fully native. The one thing I’m not a fan of is the TouchableOpacity effect on some buttons. We should ditch itβ€”that component never should’ve been part of React Native in the first place.
