It's an interesting time. Levy has always been there as a scapegoat. It insulated Ange in particular I think but without Levy there I'm not sure what the outlet is for the frustration. I suppose if things don't improve and we don't heavily invest in January, the 'Enic Out' stuff will pick up again.

Feels like one of the relatively few bona fide superstars of this era too.

We've always booed poor performances though, even at WHL and under managers we adored. I think it's just part and parcel of modern football; I wouldn't say it's necessarily a broader signal of discontent with the manager just yet. We're not at Nuno subbing off Lucas decibel levels anyway.

I think for the most part the strongest dissenting voices are all those that supported Ange the most, which makes sense really. I do wonder how strong the sentiment is elsewhere, as Bluesky was easily the most pro-Ange space online and in my experience quite different to fans I spoke to IRL.

But does that work at a club like Spurs, where away teams often sit in a low block themselves? Unless the plan is to become so painfully average that teams start to open up against us.

We've got plenty of issues, but breaking down a resolute defence seems to have been one since Eriksen left.

Hasn't Glasner generally favoured a counter-attacking style himself? I'm sure we've been linked with him in the past (before he joined Palace) and lots of fans dismissed him due to his style of play.

Also, they lost their last Europa Conference game at home to Larnaca... actually maybe he's ideal!

He's definitely still adapting to the league and it will take time. Of course, that would be a lot easier if we were doing well collectively.

Too early to say if Frank can get the best out of him. He has had success with other flair players in the past though so there's some hope.

Sacking their manager not long after giving him a new contract. Modern football things.

I just think it's too early to judge. We were shockingly bad last season, just as we were last night, but that was after 2 years with a manager. This is after a few months.

I'm not exactly optimistic as such, but have to hope things get better with time.

Absolutely. Funnily enough it's a lot of United fans too, so I guess they are possibly looking through the prism of having had a huge rough patch with Amorim and even before that, and potentially now seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

Quite interesting reading perspectives from fans of other clubs that fall into my Spurs feeds. Basically, they think Spurs fans/players are bonkers for turning on the manager after such a short period of time, and when we're still sat in the top 4 in the league.

We need to move quickly if we want to buy those Premier League proven players like Semenyo and Wharton that we all know would improve us, as the case for them to leave their current clubs to join Spurs is getting weaker and weaker.

Agree on Richy but hard to think of strikers that we could get.

I love a good Christmas advert, but it's quite depressing that Asda's effort this year is basically about the fact everything is so bloody expensive.

Fair play to them for trying to address customers' concerns, but it's sad that they have to.

That last part will probably offend some people, but I just think we were broken beyond repair on and off the pitch and a change was needed.

Whether this was the right change remains to be seen. It's pretty turgid stuff right now though, absolutely no denying that.

01.11.2025 22:49 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

I don't think even his biggest fans thought Frank was the man to take us to dizzy heights. I don't know who that person is though, or if it's even possible. Frank is here to make us better than the sum of our parts (we're not right now).

I do suspect we'd be further down the league if Ange stayed.

01.11.2025 22:47 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

That's impossible for any of us to know.

Different interpretations are available. I have one, you have another, someone else probably thinks something else entirely.

I very much doubt it, but it's not exactly a new thing or anything that only Spurs do. Ange always asked the players to do this as well. I wouldn't want to do it as a player either, I'd be off for a sulk in the dressing room, but it is the done thing.

01.11.2025 21:04 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

They both made plenty of individual errors tonight, but that's besides the point. Fans paid a lot of money to watch them, so acknowledging the support is the least they can do. I suspect their reactions were to the supporters booing rather than the manager.

01.11.2025 20:59 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

Common consensus seems to be that he asked them to applaud the fans and they refused. Think they come out of that looking worse than Frank.

01.11.2025 20:55 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Ah in fact, he asked them to go and applaud the fans and they refused. This is all on VDV and Spence if that's the case. Really poor form.

01.11.2025 20:51 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

That's not a good look for anyone.

01.11.2025 20:49 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Definitely don't think Ange was the answer, but the doubts are growing rapidly about it being Frank. Hard to feel confident about any manager truly succeeding at Spurs in a way that satisfies the fans and the board.

Nice to know that my eyes weren't lying to me. It really was *that* bad. #COYS

I really don't want to turn on another manager. I have to acknowledge the injury crisis. But man this is tough to watch. I've not got anything positive to say about us.

I was Ange out, and I was happy enough with Frank, but I need something to cling to, some light at the end of the tunnel. #COYS

We were brilliant against PSG in the Super Cup in a totally different style set up to counter them, but there's only been the odd tweak since then really. In his defence, I guess we could point to lack of time on the training pitch as Ange talked about a lot as well.

01.11.2025 18:40 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

We've been so bad that they don't need to be, but it's annoying how good Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez are.

Sometimes, you really do get what you pay for.

All of it from open play though? #Silverlining

01.11.2025 18:26 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Yeah, Frank has to adapt. That's his whole thing, so it'd be nice to see some of it right about now.

I'll be extremely disappointed if we come out for the second half with the same formation and personnel. #COYS

Spurs are the only reason I didn't sell Joao Pedro in #FPL. Could fill his boots here.
