Why would my dad put traps in the flower pots, you ask?

Well, if you take the movie Caddyshack and replace the word "gopher" with "squirrel," and pretend that Bill Murray's character is my dad... that's why. 😞

Noooo I don't WANT it to be a trap! Because if it's a trap, then it was probably set by my own father! 😭😭😭 And it was probably set in one of the flower pots on our deck, which makes it even worse because it's been cold enough that everything in those pots is pretty close to dead.

Little buddy made it all the way under that bush before I lost sight of it. Definitely not as fast or agile as an uninjured chipmunk, but it might be able to recover.

I have no idea where the clip thing came from.

I dabbled in some animal rescue yesterday. I really thought this chipmunk was dead bc it was just lying there. Then it moved, and I saw its foot was caught in the clip thing. Took a bit for it to move again once I released it, but it did! Second video coming

This is an odd new item on my list of reasons to move out of my parents' house!

There is no rule saying you can't own more than one dictionary! My friend and I enjoy comparing definitions across different editions. Between the two of us, we have editions from 1941, 1976, 1979, and 2001.

Seriously, I have NEVER understood this. EVER. And it has always been next to impossible to find a pair I could tolerate wearing. Now, as an autistic adult with a bigger waist than I used to have, I don't bother! Life is too short to wear uncomfortable clothes!

The inside of the accessible staff bathroom is great, but it's useless to me because I can't open the door.

You insisting it IS accessible, based on legal requirements when it was built, doesn't magically make it accessible.

I like that this guy acknowledges that this is the standard position in Judaism. We've always been pro-choice, because life begins with the first breath, and also pragmatic reasons like "giving birth can be deadly for the mom" and "infant mortality is a thing"

I hc that Aziraphale is the entire reason we associate angels with harps, and possibly also trumpets.

Tiny puppy! Imagine a cotton ball that's been rolled in cinnamon. Now make it shaped like an adorable little dog. That's it. That's the picture.

And this is Rocket's predecessor, Cinnamon, as an adult and as a puppy. Once in a blue moon, we would call her Cinnamonster. In her 19 years of life, I also called her Squeaky, Pipsqueak, and Dog. I also address Rocket as Dog. It works.

Of course, the instructions are at the bottom of one page and the top of another, so it's split across two pictures. I took the pictures a couple years apart, because the first picture is the one I always check, and then at some point my sister wanted the full instructions.

I have ADHD. One time when my parents were out of town and I was home alone with the dog (as an adult), I discovered in the morning that I'd left the back door open ALL NIGHT. 😬

But that's at MY house. Somebody ELSE'S house? I've probably quadruple checked the door is closed and locked!!!

I used to use Certain Dri. It was legitimately so effective at reducing underarm sweat that I don't need anything that strong anymore! (YMMV of course.) Really, REALLY read and obey the directions, though.

Really, horrors, self-care is very important, and you can't pour from an empty cup. It's okay to take some time off!

That's my grandpa's name! And my cousin's name! 😂 I don't think we have any Scottish ancestry, but we do have an ancestor with a BAMF story of "army vs. 1 man + fort." I will consult with my uncle for details because I've only heard the story once, about a decade ago.

That way Aziraphale can drink something he actually *likes* while he sits there pontificating about how the flavors of the fancy coffee interact. Crowley enjoys listening to his angel and sometimes remembers to pretend to NOT enjoy the coffee.

My hc is that Aziraphale insists on trying every flavored latte/coffee concoction humans dream up. Crowley goes with and orders very black coffee. Aziraphale takes a tiny sip of his drink and makes many funny faces. Then Crowley makes a big show of GRUDGINGLY switching drinks (unasked, unprompted)

Just because Crowley DRINKS very strong coffee doesn't mean that's the taste he PREFERS. Maybe he hasn't been sleeping well in his car (not that he NEEDS sleep, but he's accustomed to it), maybe he's making extra sure he has energy for whatever problem his angel has, or maybe *appearances*...
