I litter pick every weekend. It is extraordinarily cathartic and satisfying to see an area (no matter how small) transformed by adding a simple, easy and positive function to a half-an-hour walk in the fresh air.

I do it on my way to weekly 2 hour session restoring habitat - which is even better.

When written there was still some hope of a better candidate. I loathe party politics, but as someone with strong a environmental and humanitarian leaning, the better option appears to be Powell - on the basis she might be more likely to actually stand alternative viewpoints to Starmer's team.

It was a staggering lack of judgement in appointing him; Stupid not to pre-emptively stand him down when this started hitting the news; and political suicide to defend him.

It's as though Starmer is trying to outrun Truss, in the race to be unelectable.
