Yes, the Academy Trust bought the language school a couple of years ago. KLS has been based within the languages department for a while before that, and taught lots of other languages as well as A level and EFL.

The BBC belongs to Britain, not Trump. We must defend it together.
Just read an excellent Substack from @pkrugman.bsky.social :
Exploiting Male Rage. While focused on the US, thereโs a lot here to think about in the UK too, especially after the protests and marches last weekend.

This headline is inaccurate. It is people granted refugee status who will have their lives wrecked again by an idiotic, unworkable policy, pushing homelessness for refugees NOT people seeking asylum onto councils

In case you havenโt already seen this - I wonder if this is where our esteemed KCC leader got her โfactsโ?
On Tuesday Nigel Farage will publish his proposals for mass deportations, Prison camps, leaving the European Convention on Human Rights & scrapping the Human Rights Act, quitting the Refugee Convention and the UN Convention against Torture - is that a country we want?

24.08.2025 06:16 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 063% of people think net migration rose in the last 12 months
8% of people think it fell
Yet it fell by 400,000 in 2024 vs 2023
[It is falling further in 2025]
Public service broadcasters are doing a core part of their job on this topic badly if that 8% is not closer to 30% at least
And also just a stunning place to visit.
23.08.2025 08:18 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Interesting, in that it involves the rediscovery or recreation of ancient skills and techniques which might come in useful if the worst comes to the worst.
23.08.2025 07:45 โ ๐ 27 ๐ 6 ๐ฌ 3 ๐ 0A clear proof that immigration salience has little direct connection to overall numbers
Net migration did not fall when salience fell from 56% to 5% from 2016-19
Net migration tripled between 2019-22: salience stayed low
As net migration halved/fell by two-thirds, 2022-25, salience tripled
Here is how the media should be reporting this morning's news.
As part of a growing pattern of political retribution, Donald Trump's FBI has raided the home of a prominent administration critic. In this instance it happens to be John Bolton. The pretense is largely irrelevant.

Reminder to @kemibadenochmp.bsky.social inflation rose to 11.1% under the Tory Government!
3.8% is what Bank of England predicted, along with 4% in September. But by late 2026 it will be down to 2%.
Anything to attack Labour without real facts!
