For a moment, I thought she had made an unexpected comeback.

All three of NATO's nuclear powers are currently experiencing periods of domestic political turmoil, which is not great to put it mildly.

I mean honestly if I were interviewing her this morning I’d put together a montage of ICE smashing car windows over children, smashing people against walls etc. and say β€˜just so I’m clear Kemi, this is what you want?’

Even in the narrow instrumental sense of dealing with the Faragist threat to the Conservative Party, Brexit has been a catastrophic failure.

International fees currently subsidise domestic fees. So the government is taking from the only pot that subsidises educating domestic students in order to subsidise educating domestic students. Cynically, I suspect the logic behind this is to performatively demonstrate toughness towards foreigners.

Half the time, I think the Trump people have a plan to overthrow the US Constition, and the other half I think they get up every morning and just wing it.

Today's meeting with the generals encapsulates that ambiguity.

The leaders of which US allies are going to have to shuttle across the Pacific, like the Europeans did after the Putin summit, to talk Trump out of this?

If it is the existential fight the PM says, and one he is engaged in - would be good to hear more about why he disagrees with Reform?

Usually he either accepts their main grievance is correct, or if they overstep a mark he gives a flat footed response days later?

Perhaps I’m missing something

Trump’s apparent U-turn on Ukraine cheers Europeans amid deeper skepticism about US policy Elation over Trump’s pro-Ukraine post vied with doubts that he will ever follow through with tougher action against Russia.

I don’t understand the framing of this Politico story at all. Trump’s post is saying Europe is strong enough to back Ukraine on its own…. US is out, hence he closes with β€œGood luck to all.” This ain’t good.
