This Canadian admits it. I actually like Hamburger Helper and I've broken my boycott for my favourite flavour a couple of times. I miss others, but I make something similar with Canadian sourced ingredients. Canada is great, but would be better if we made some (lower sodium?) Hamburger Helper here.

In some jurisdictions Trump would have been declared a "vexatious litigant" long ago and his ability to file frivolous lawsuits curtailed. "Loser pays" rules are also helpful.

I tried to fix some minor issues over the phone and gave up and filed notices of objection for every one. Won all of them. Appeals officers must be getting frustrated dealing with nonsense stuff.

When I was in the Canadian military and someone was tasked with something they thought was a complete waste of time the standard answer/justification was "it's all pensionable time". I'm betting some of those guys are thinking that.

If, suppose, he said "I don't have an f***ing clue, I'm trained in forensic accounting and signed up to investigate financial fraud". That would likely get him fired.

If you want to raise revenue with a regressive national sales tax a VAT is the efficient way to do it. Designed properly, it does not penalize domestic manufacturing and exempting necessities coupled with refundable tax credits can offset some of the regressivity. But gee, that's complicated!

Or just simply send regrets - perhaps an inconveniently scheduled meeting somewhere else with, coincidentally, most or all of the planned participants

If governing bodies are caving, even temporarily, citizens still have a voice with their wallets. To the maximum extent reasonably possible, boycott US goods and services

One key difference, when other countries impose reciprocal tariffs they do it in a way to maximize damage to US and minimize it to their own people. Not arbitrary and across the board. If DJT really wanted to raise revenue he'd do a VAT (which he totally doesn't understand) like sane countries.
