Huzzah! I got out for a shortish walk after lunch - my first time out the house since Monday thanks to the ice, snow & too-cold-for-my-asthmatic-lungs air. I'm relaxing now until I start work at 4pm. This weekend is a bit easier than my usual timetable so I shouldn't be as knackered by Mon as usual.

I'm having baked beans & jacket potato for lunch - it's def hot lunch weather!

Urgh - not a fun experience being so cold but glad you got your laundry done & a walk. We're planning to go out after lunch for a short amble (my first time out since Monday!!)

Right. After resting most of the day to build up spoons I've batch-cooked jacket potatoes (for 2 days) veggies (for approx 4 days) and an epically huge GF/veggie lasagna (??? days? I'll freeze what doesn't get used today or tomorrow).

Happy Thursday folks! We've had a bit more snow overnight so it's cold, icy and a day to stay inside. Thankfully I can, as it's a day off. We overslept this morning - didn't set alarms as we didn't need to - and I only got a 3/5 on Visible so an easy day will do me good. Hope you have a good one x

2 pieces of velvet folded up next to each other on the back of a sofa. One is a bright turquoise and the other a deeper mid blue.

I've not sold many foot stools this year, so as well as putting all the existing ones on sale .. i'm thinking of trying something new...

These bright plain velvet colours..

I got through work (although the second class was very stressful - not the student's fault, just circumstances) and now I am flopping and resting with a hot water bottle because (a) it's cold and (b) my tummy's acting up. At least tomorrow's a free day & I can stay in.

Yep! I had a loved one go through this - thankfully he went straight to A&E to get it sorted and was OK. You don't mess with this stuff.

My dad got on his train safely and apparently the next seat was a no show so he has a double seat to himself. 👍
