That said I installed the nvidia version, got an AMD GPU and I swapped it in expecting to not even have display at all and bazzite was like, lol okay, everything works btw, full triple monitors and HDR, if you reboot you’ll be able to delete these nvidia drivers you don’t need

Do I kinda wish it was less of a pain to install stuff? Sure. Do I necessarily love how hard it is to, for example, run a python script that does anything useful? No I do not. Do I like having to learn a whole new system to mount a NAS at boot? Also no.

Bazzite is so good. I’ve used Linux nearly every day for like 10 years, I used OSX at work, you should see my jank ass homelab, I still always spent my time in windows. Bazzite is so good I feel like a bad person booting into windows when I do need it for something

It seems pretty clear to me that rewarding federal courts for their (generally) good behavior while diluting scotus and 5th circuit would be nice? Again I'm just some guy but that seems like a good set of goals that acknowledges our presently terrible position

Yeah I guess this was my hangup, from an "I am literally in a case right now" position your only real option is to present your case as best you can. But as an observer? Clearly the best heuristic is "admin always wins" with this court and it's stupid to pretend otherwise

Presumably the best action you can make as someone who may lose rights to this court the best option is to never be there in the room but…

Like obviously the bad guys are gonna do the bad guy thing but like as a lawyer don’t you have to act as if you have a shot?

Asking because I am not a lawyer: at the point where you are arguing in front of the court: what does “scooping up the cards” mean? Because like, don’t you still owe your side the best possible argument you can make? What alternative do you have, just say “we all know where this is going” and leave?

I have pretty poor visibility into that stuff though ofc I have heard "finest". I just think elevating sanitation specifically is cool, like they have their own dress uniforms and that strikes me as a distinctly new york city thing. Just kind of fascinating that he devotes such a big spot to them
