There's the part where Moses leads his people out of bondage. The point is that religion isn't just believing everything you read in some book. A faith is a community of shared stories, references, & commitments. These can be argued over. How do you think scriptures get chosen in the first place?

I am quoting this, because it is a common misunderstanding of religion, in that it assigns the qualities of *extreme conservative* religions to all religions, especially all forms of Protestantism. This is the Christopher Hitchens effect. He did us all a great disservice.
