But the courts are not able to move as fast as the executive branch of our government is breaking laws. Our government was not designed to only have one branch (and only the lower courts at that) serve as a check on the other branches.

Great read. An ICE attorney working for DOJ temporarily explains that ICE has no clue how all of this "federal court" stuff works and makes clear that both ICE and DOJ were totally unprepared for the flood of habeases that were the inevitable result of the Minneapolis raids.

What should alarm us about the Epstein files isn’t just the appalling details, which are horrific and criminal.

It’s that here is a growing sense that there is small number of elite who see themselves as above the law.

People go on hospice when we think they have less than 6 months to live. Sometimes, they defy our expectations and live long enough to have hospice care renewed. Guess what? It's still cheaper than non-hospice care.
