13.10.2025 23:56 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0What size potato? And for roasting or mashing?

Large plant thriving (origins in a tiny pot not visible).
I was reminded of Jurassic Park recently, having seen this Ficus macrophylla bursting out of a tiny pot and thriving: βLife, uh, finds a wayβ. More specifically:
*Life breaks free. It expands to new territories. It crashes through barriersβ¦.*

Itβs a duck.
And, blimey, talk about engagement farming.
Great to see the product of my kind of wildlife photography on here!
02.09.2025 02:42 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Never ceases to amaze me how birds can sit so securely while seemingly holding loosely onto a smooth and thin thing, like a bit of wire. Itβs a knack, I guess, but an underrated one.
Lovely image too.
Tomorrows are for work. Todays are for thinking about it.

18.08.2025 07:52 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The issue here is that, fundamentally, wherever you go in the world, suburban environments are always a bit shit.
14.08.2025 21:22 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Blimey. Is this a record for the #UK feed on BSky? Three British place names in one bleat, and not one of them refers to the actual place in the actual UK.

This is interesting. Not just in relation to the garden-related uprising, but also due to the fact that it was prompted in part by βthe antient personsβ not being able to βwalke for their pleasuresβ in the common fields. Given that I too like a nice walke, Iβm feeling rather antient myself, nowβ¦.

The latest post on the blog (bit.ly/44OOU7n) looks at the engineering & heritage combo that is the Seven Mile Bridge, in the Florida Keys (actually two bridges, dating from 1912 & 1982). Striking, and scenically located, they are the subject of various designations.

Very friendly comma, in Suffolk, yesterday.

I donβt think the Planning & Infrastructure Bill is fire-fighting. Nor are any of their current environmental and planning reforms. Labour had a perfectly good vision for planning, penned by Roberta Blackman-Woods in 2020. Now everything theyβre doing is what Tufton St asked the Tories to doβ¦
